Camberwell Lacrosse Club is currently working to bring back lacrosse for 2020. We are waiting for the all-clear from Boroondara Council and the Return to Play Agreement to be signed off.

When club training does return there will be a number of key conditions (to be confirmed in full later):

This Girl Can session

A month ago, some keen lacrosse mums participated in an introductory #ThisGirlCan lacrosse session at Dorothy Laver Reserve East run by Tony Hollenkamp. Most had watched their kids play lacrosse but never really played themselves.  Below are some great shots. Unfortunately due to the coronavirus and social distancing, any further This Girl Can events have been postponed.

This Girl Can is to celebrate women and helping them to embrace physical activity in a way that suits them.

Use of the Chiefs motif

Attached is the Camberwell Lacrosse Club's statement regarding the use of the Chief's motif.

COVID - 19 Update, March 22nd

The State Premier of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, has announced that Victoria will proceed over the next 48 hours to implement a shutdown of all non-essential activity across our state to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

As a result of this, all club activity, including training will be cancelled.

This is an unprecedented situation that unfortunately justified these extreme measures.

Keep calm and sharpen your skills

Camberwell Lacrosse Club would love to be able to tell you when the 2020 lacrosse season is going to start. Unfortunately none of our crystal balls seems to be working at present.

What we can do though is help you keep your skills sharp so that you're ready to go when word comes through. The Club is looking out for skills challenges and competitions and will connect you through our website, facebook page, etc

But do you have enough gear? Parents, if you don't have a practice stick, now is a great time to come and grab one:

COVID - 19 Update

Lacrosse Victoria Announcement

Lacrosse Victoria wishes to provide the information regarding COVID-19.

"

Lacrosse is three weeks away from the commencement of the Men's State League and five weeks for the rest of the competitions.

Currently many sports and events with large gatherings of people are making alternative arrangements including postponement, playing without spectators or cancellations. These actions are precautionary so the virus doesn't spread too quickly and place an impossible strain on our hospitals and other services.

Bring a Friend

Camberwell Lacrosse Club is excited to announce a new Bring a Friend program we are running for the 2020 season. We would love players of all ages to introduce their friends to the game to give them the chance to experience the best sport in the world.

Every player who brings a friend to training during preseason will get a ticket into a draw to win a new, high quality lacrosse stick. Bring two friends, get two tickets. Bring you whole class and your chances increase dramatically.
