Farewell to the Lewis Family

On Saturday Mason Lewis played his 100th game for Camberwell, just before he and his family are due to head off to the US to live.

Mason is a super-fast middie and faceoff who started playing in 2013 with Doug Fox's Magic team. Last year he represented Victoria in the Southern Crosse team, making it all the way to the championship game (they unfortunately lost in overtime).

All club training

July 24 2019

Normally Wednesday night is girls night at Camberwell Lacrosse, but yesterday plenty of boys and men came along to join in.

Coaches Izzy and Christian organised four stations for the mixed groups to rotate through. Boys and girls worked together to improve their shooting, dodging and passing.

After their training the juniors enjoyed a wonderful curry meal provided by Shareon Murray.

While the kids were eating, the senior men and women trained together. Coach Lee Davis took them through a series of drills that challenged both men and women.

July School Holiday Clinic

Well done to Sean Cerrone and Christian Blair for organising a great school holiday clinic. Almost 30 kids attended over 2 days in July, developing their skills and having lots of fun. The feedback has been entirely positive, with most indicating they would do it again if given the chance.

Division 2 keeps it winning record intact

The Division 2 team continued its winning form in a hard fought game against the physical and powerful Eltham Team.
It was a typical game against Eltham who tried to dominate physically, particularly in the ground ball contest but Camberwell let by the wily and experienced Nick Barlow matched their physicality and endeavour in the contest. Nick and Jet Lorenz gave us first use out of the face off and our attack players controlled the offence (When they were not wasting opportunities with poor shot selection and execution!)

Weekend Results 4/5 May 2019

Another great weekend for Camberwell Lacrosse. Well done to Marcus Woon (Sharky) on his senior debut.

Weekend Results 27/28 April 2019

This weekend was our first home games at Eric Raven Reserve and the first round of juniors for 2019. Apologies to those who could not fit in the car park due to the AFL spectators from across the creek. Camberwell had 14 teams ready to compete and everyone did us proud.

2019 under 18 nationals

Our Camberwell representatives arrived back from the under 18 nationals this week. The Victorian boys team was dominant and easily won every game, including the title against SA. The girls draw was far more even, with the teams finishing on even points after the pool rounds. Victoria made it through to the championship game but were beaten by SA.

A message from the Club President

Welcome back to previous club members and a Big welcome to new members for Lacrosse season 2019.

The weekend of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April is promising to be a big weekend.

Our new junior players, both boys and girls will be playing in their first real game against players from other clubs. It has been an exciting time for Coaches to train and prepare the players.  Thankyou to the Coaches for their expert and caring input. Thankyou also to those who have volunteered as Team managers and Scorers.
