2020 fees refunded

Camberwell Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce that all fees paid for the 2020 season have been refunded in full. Refunds were made via our payment provider Square and should be back in your account. Please contact membership @clclax.org.au if there are any concerns with the refund.

A major factor in our club remaining viable and not needing to charge fees is that our usual major season expenses, the Lacrosse Victoria fees and Boroondara Council grounds charges, are not being charged for 2020.

The seasonal Lacrosse Victoria fees cover the cost of staffing and administering the competition and insurance. We would like to thank Lacrosse Victoria for all the efforts undertaken to source Victorian State Government funding so that they can remain staffed and solvent while they work towards our sport re-opening. No clubs are being charged for the 2020 season.

Our other major seasonal expense is to Boroondara Council to cover use of the grounds and their maintenance. The maintenance, such as mowing, is still needed, and we used the grounds before the second lock down started last month. However Boroondara Council has waived all fees and charges for 2020. We would like to thank the Council for this. Such support of community sport is important to help  ensure clubs can restart once we return to normal.

We are hoping to find some opportunities to play lacrosse as soon as it is viable. Keep an eye out on Tribal Talk and social media once the lock down restrictions start to ease. There will be a virtual trivia event coming soon to start things off.

If anyone has other ideas for lacrosse opportunities, social events or anything else, please get in touch with president Jennie or one of the committee members.

Stay safe, stay well.
