Senior Means State Team Tryouts

Trails for the Senior Men's State team will be held at MCC (Albert Ground) on the following days:

  • Sunday 3rd May, 10am-12pm
  • Sunday 10th May, 10am-12pm
  • Sunday 17th May, 10am-12pm

Application forms can be found on the LV website. These forms must be submitted at the first trial, along with the application fee of $40.00.

Registration Day - Saturday 28th March

Time:
12 noon - 4 pm

1pm : Junior practice game
2pm : Senior mixed practice game

Activities include :
- Target shooting
- Longest throw
- Speed gun
- Goal shooting

Canteen includes food, drinks and BBQ

Player subs can be paid on the day, with subs forms and LV registration forms also needing to be completed and submitted to the CLC Committee staff at the registration desk.

Subs for seniors and juniors are confirmed as follows:

Seniors:
- Standard: $245
- Students: $195

To Chloe Amantea, who has been named in this year’s Team Koala. The Team will compete in the ASPAC Tournament in Korea and the Prague Cup Tournament in the Czech Republic in June.

 

US College Lacrosse Opportunities

Providence College in Rhode Island, United States is looking for any men interested in traveling to the US to play college lacrosse. With the Big East lacrosse conference starting, they are looking for top-level lacrosse players to compete with their conference opponents of Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Georgetown.

School Lacrosse Clinics

We are currently well into our summer program of lacrosse clinics at primary schools in the district. Reg Bugeja is leading a team of volunteer club members running clinics for grades 4, 5 and 6 at Ashburton and Glen Iris Primary Schools. Both Solway and St Michael’s Primary Schools are keen for us to visit as well and suitable dates are being finalised now.

Hi to all our Camberwell lacrosse members for 2009.

Preparation for the 2009 season is at fever pitch at the moment. The committee and coaches have been working behind the scenes to ensure everything will be ready for the season start. Our grounds have been secured, the junior recruiting drive is underway, and pre-season training is going on in Ernest.

Some upcoming events for the diary:

Winter Season and Pre-Season Training

The 2009 Winter season is due to begin on:

  • Saturday 18 April for senior men, and Saturday 2 May for junior boys; and
  • Sunday 19 April for women and junior girls (Sunday 29 March for U17’s).

Pre-season training has already started for senior men and women (Thursdays from 6:30pm). For further information about the women's training, see the next page.
