Welcome to our new look!

As many of you (should) have noticed, we are putting more emphasis on our website this year. It is a great platform to promote the club as well as an excellent way to communicate with our members.

We are proud to launch a brand new look & feel for the site. It is cleaner, more streamlined, smartphone/tablet friendly and we hope you will find it easier and more pleasant to use.

Match reports for Sat. 17-May

Camberwell U11 Scorpions 4 def by Malvern Black 14

The Scorpions started promisingly but found themselves  4 goals to 2 down in the first quarter against a much more experienced Malvern team.  Matthew Baker opened the scoring for the Wells when he took a close-in pass from Zac Watt and David Quim, playing in his first lacrosse match, posted a second Camberwell goal after grabbing a loose ball near the crease. Edward Whelen was lively and made nice position to score but was turned back by the Malvern goalie.

Match reports for Sat. 10-May

Camberwell U15 Storm 3 def by Camberwell U15 Heat 18

This local Derby was a one-sided affair with Heat getting off to a quick start and finishing 18-3. Faster legs from even Heat’s smaller players kept them in front. The conditions deteriorated and Coaches started trying to make this a more balanced affair. However it was not to be and frustration boiled over and created a few penalties, typically on Storm players. Aidan, Nick and Tom from Heat showed some excellent skills and running.

Senior Men’s & Women’s State Teams 2014 - Call for Player Applications

Applications are now being called for players to trial for the Senior Men’s & Women’s State Teams 2014 who will compete in the National Championships in South Australia from Wednesday 4th June to Saturday 7th June 2014.

Announcing our senior teams for 2014

After much deliberation the committee has decided to field only 2 Senior Men’s teams in 2014. This year we have seen a reduction in the availability of player numbers due to various reasons including work, study, travel, injury and retirement.

While we are down from 3 teams in in prior years, 2014 will see the promotion of the second team to Division 1, which is long overdue if Camberwell is to be successful at the State League level.

Online registration now open!

Camberwell Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce that LV registration process is now open.

You asked for it, and it is now here. In 2014, registration will be online, through Sporting Pulse website. We were hoping to make it available to you at Registration Day, but due to delays, not within our control, this was not possible.

A few important notes:

Men’s officiating accreditation

As you all know, providing a club official is mandatory and failure to do so results in penalties handed out to the club by LV. Officiating is also a good opportunity to make some extra money while helping your club out. We need all of those who have volunteered, as well as anyone else interested in helping with officiating to become accredited.

When: Sunday, 18/5, 9am – 12pm
