Open call for Juniors coaches - 2015

Camberwell Lacrosse Club is seeking expression of interest for coaching positions for the 2015 season with the anticipation that the following team's will be entered:

Coming up ... Indoor Lacrosse Season

Do you want your child to start playing or (if they already play) get better at Lacrosse? The Melbourne Indoor Lacross League (MILL) is a long running indoor competition. It is a modified form of Lacrosse - non contact, played on a basketball court with small teams. It is great fun and a fantastic way to stay in shape and continue to build Lacrosse skills.

We would like to invite all under-11 players to participate. You don't have to be a member of Camberwell Lacrosse Club and we encourage players who are to invite their friends.

Coming up ... Senior Presentation Night

Just a reminder to everyone that presentation night for U18 and Senior teams will be held on Sat., 4th of October. Tickets are $35 if you are 17 and under or $50 otherwise. If you still have not gotten your ticket please email Mat on Deadline for purchase of tickets is Tuesday 30/09/2014.

Coming up: Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Match reports for Sat. 16-Aug

Camberwell U11 Scorpions 5 def by Eltham Gold 11

Playing at Eltham with an under-manned team, the Wells found the going tough as Eltham piled on three early goals despite some slick saves by first-time goalkeeper Edward Whelen.  Baker and Palfreeman had their hands full with a fast-running opposition and Trinity Meachem was giving 45 cm in height to her opponent.  Lewis scored on assist from Finn Whelen and Whelen added to the Camberwell score soon after to have the match at 2-5 when the quarter break came.

Inaugural Glenn Horder Shield

Saturday, 23rd of August, 2:30pm

Glenn Horder, who sadly passed away in 2013, started his lacrosse career as a junior at (the now defunct) Mitcham Lacrosse Club. He then moved on to play for Surrey Park for a number of years, finishing his playing days, including a stint as coach, at Camberwell.

To honour GIenn's memory, Camberwell and Surrey Park Lacrosse Clubs have decided to commemorate his legacy by establishing the Glenn Horder Shield. The shield will be contested each year when their state league teams meet during the regular season.
