Camberwell have again been overrun in the last quarter, going down to Caulfield 8-15.
The scores were locked at 7 a piece at 3/4 time, but a last quarter blitz from Caulfield saw them over the line. Townley provided the spark up front for Caulfield with 3 of his 5 goals coming in the last quarter.
For Camberwell, the scoring again was dominated by Lander with 5 goals and Ffrench popping up with his first State League goal.
One positive from the day was the outstanding effort from the defence unit. Morse, Davis, Charron, Churchward and Gloutnay all had outstanding games and kept Camberwell in the game. Charron in particular led from the front with a bone-crunching body check on Caulfield's big gun Rodrigues, effectively reducing his impact through the game.
The loss was further soured with key defender Gloutnay suffering an ankle injury. Scans during the week will determine the extent of the injury.
