Melbourne Indoor Lacrosse League (MILL)

2007 Season 2 Starts 16th April...... Click Here For Team Entry Form

What is the MILL?
The Melbourne Indoor Lacrosse League (MILL) is an indoor, modified Lacrosse competition established in 1995 with the aims of:
* providing a safe and enjoyable environment for players of both genders and any ability to play a non contact form of indoor Lacrosse;
* to showcase the sport of Lacrosse to the general public and provide an entry point for new players, juniors to improve their skills and seniors to extend their playing involvement.

Where and When?
The MILL competition runs year round in 8 week season cycles. Games are played on a Monday evening between 7:00pm and 10:00pm on the basketball courts at the: Ashburton Recreation Centre 8 Warner Avenue Ashburton VIC 3147

What does it cost?
Each team pays $260 per season. For an average team with 8 players, this works out at about $4 per player, per game. Team Co-ordinators are responsible for collecting player fees amd for paying the season subscriptions for their teams .
Payment of team registrations entitles players to use the indoor courts, change rooms and showers as well as the centre's canteen. Use of gym, pool, sauna and other facilities is subject to the relevant additional payment to the recreation centre.

What do I need to play?
A lacrosse stick, team uniform and non-marking shoes (as for basketball).

Are there different grades of ability?
Yes, there are currently three gradings, catering for beginner/youth, intermediate and advanced. Most teams have a mix of boys/girls and we have a player age range from 8 - 60 years.

I don't have a team, but want to play, can you help?
Yes, we can place you into an existing team, in a grade that matches your current standard

My lacrosse playing friends and I are interested in entering a team, what do I do?
Talk to your friends, decide on a team name and design a uniform - get in touch (see below).

How do I find out more?
E-mail or Come down to the Centre after 7:00pm on a Monday evening and watch a game or two from the viewing gallery.
